introduction to voice

Voice is positioned to launch as an inclusive and ethical alternative in the current emerging NFT landscape for content creators.
Voice was founded as a flagship brainchild of Block.one, and currently leverages B1's propriety product, EOSIO, a leading open-source blockchain software. As an NFT marketplace built on the principle of providing creators an environmentally conscious and human centric alternative to currently existing platforms, EOSIO's blockchain technology enables our team to drive the design of a transparent and carbon neutral digital market. Our public launch is set for the summer of 2021, and we are currently optimizing for an experience that will enable any creator to intuitively leverage emerging technologies in their creations.

Competitive Analysis

Popular NFT marketplace platforms today are designed to be transactional, prohibitively expensive, and environmentally harmful. These factors often create barriers of entry for emerging and conscientious creators.
As part of our early product research, my team and I analyzed several established and rising platforms in the NFT industry. We found overarching similarities across all platforms, such as the requirement to have a cryptocurrency wallet for both purchase and creation actions. A pain point we came across often was that most platforms require content creators to pay high "gas fees", or transactions fees, in order to mint a new NFT on the Ethereum blockchain.

User Testing & Interviews

Throughout the course of our team's generative research with user interviews and focus groups, we often came across recurring sentiments and pain points from our targeted user base (creatives looking to begin or expand their NFT portfolios, as well as users looking to purchase NFT content). We utilized internal user screeners, as well as UserTesting.com to source and conduct our research.
Below are a few key insights synthesized from the user feedback and sentiments gathered during our preliminary user research. These insights encapsulate broader user pain points and wants that our Product team felt were important areas of focus for ideation on potential design solutions. We began to actively develop features from the data points we uncovered from our target user bases (NFT creators and collectors).

KEy Screens & Explorations

In anticipation of Voice's public 2021 summer launch, I lead the design of key screens and experiences across different features of the platform. Some of theses experiences include the Home Page, Payments, and Profiles, as well as variety of future facing designs that explore the concept of a metaverse. Below is a preview of some of the designs I developed throughout my time at Voice.
